The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the final timetable for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates – First Series, commonly known as the 2026 WAEC Nov/Dec Exam. This confirmed schedule provides detailed information on exam dates, paper codes, subjects, and time allocations, enabling candidates to begin full preparation ahead of the examinations.

According to the timetable, the 2026 WAEC First Series will run from Friday, 16 January 2026, to Saturday, 14 February 2026, covering a wide range of core and elective subjects across Arts, Science, and Business disciplines.

The examination officially begins on Friday, 16 January 2026, with the Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical) Planning Session, marking the start of the month-long assessment period.

January 2026 WAEC Exam Schedule

From 19–23 January, WAEC will conduct:

  • French 3 (Oral)
  • Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical)
  • Graphic Design 3 (Project Work)

The specific times for oral and practical sessions will be arranged directly by the Council.
