The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially confirmed that first-year Senior High School (SHS) students across the country are to report to school on Saturday, 18th October 2025. This forms part of the newly released 2025/2026 academic calendar.
According to an official circular, the directive applies to new students in both Single Track and Transitional schools, who will begin their academic journey on the stated date.

The circular was signed by Mr. Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instructions Division at GES. It further indicated that a comprehensive academic calendar has been attached for implementation.
