The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has made public the opening of the online school selection portal for the 2023/2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations candidates who recently completed Junior High School.
In a letter dated October 2, sent to all Regional Directors of Education, with title “Opening of 2023 School Selection Portal”, GES said it wishes to inform all that the School Selection Portal opened by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) for both BECE 2023 School and Private Candidates to enable them to select their schools online for 2023 placement.
According to the document signed by Prince C. Agyemang Duah (Mr); AG. Director, Schools and Instructions Division, for the Director General, the exercise commences from October 3 – 24, 2023.
It also added that Private BECE Candidates are to visit waecinternetsolution.org to select their Second Cycle Schools using their Index Number and Date of Birth as Login ID and Password respectively.
GES has therefore tasked all Regional Directors of Education to communicate this information to the Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education to ensure effective supervision and monitoring for a successful completion of the exercise within the stipulated time.
