In a recent letter dated October 2, addressed to all Regional Directors of Education, GES has officially announced the opening of the online School Selection Portal.
This portal, provided by the West African Examination Council (WAEC), will allow both BECE 2023 School and Private Candidates to conveniently select their schools online for the 2023 placement.
According to the document signed by Prince C. Agyemang Duah (Mr), Acting Director of the Schools and Instructions Division, the school selection exercise will take place from October 3 to October 24, 2023. It is crucial for all eligible candidates to make their selections within this specified time frame to ensure a smooth process.
For Private BECE Candidates, the process is straightforward. You need to visit the WAEC website at waecinternetsolution.org. Upon arriving at the portal, you will be prompted to log in. To do so, use your Index Number as your Login ID and your Date of Birth as your Password.
GES has placed a high priority on ensuring that this information reaches every corner of the country. Therefore, they have tasked all Regional Directors of Education to communicate this vital information to the Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education.
This is to help facilitate effective supervision and monitoring to guarantee a successful completion of the school selection exercise within the specified time.
