In a thrilling display of intellectual prowess, Kumasi High School (KUHIS) emerged victorious in the regional finals of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2024, leaving rivals Prempeh College and Opoku Ware School (OWASS) in their cerebral dust.
At the end of a fiercely contested Round 4, KUHIS clinched the title with a commanding 46 points, highlighting their dominance throughout the competition. This triumph marked a significant ascent from earlier rounds, where they steadily built momentum round by round.
Prempeh College, known for their historical rivalry with KUHIS, put up a commendable effort but fell short with 23 points, securing a respectable position yet unable to match the strategic brilliance of their adversaries. Opoku Ware School, despite their valiant attempts, trailed behind with 36 points, reflecting their determined but ultimately insufficient challenge against the unstoppable KUHIS team.
In earlier rounds, KUHIS steadily increased their lead, starting from a modest 18 points in Round 1 and progressively widening the gap with each subsequent round. Their strategic prowess and depth of knowledge were evident as they maneuvered through challenging questions and secured their victory in a thrilling finale.
As regional champions, KUHIS now prepares to carry their banner into the national finals, poised to continue their quest for glory on the ultimate stage of the NSMQ 2024. With their impressive performance and decisive victory, KUHIS has firmly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the realm of academic excellence and intellectual competition.
