MoE provides channel to report all 2025 CSSPS related issues for swift response – Check Here!

The Ministry of Education (MoE), in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES), has rolled out an official communication channel to help parents, guardians, and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates report any concerns or challenges related to the 2025 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).

This initiative comes after the Ministry officially confirmed the timeline for the 2025 Senior High School (SHS), Senior High Technical School (SHTS), and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) placements, following the release of the BECE results on August 23, 2025.

The Ministry explained that the feedback mechanism, accessible through the CSSPS portal, will allow stakeholders to report issues directly and ensure they are addressed swiftly.

Placement Timeline for 2025 BECE Candidates

The GES has outlined the following official schedule leading to the release of school placements and reporting of first-year students:

August 23, 2025 – BECE Results Released
August 27 – September 1, 2025 – First Window for Choice Confirmation
September 1 – September 8, 2025 – Extended Window for Choice Confirmation
September 9, 2025 – Explainer videos released to guide candidates on how to check placements
September 16, 2025 – Call & Resolution Centres Activated
September 17, 2025 – Official Release of SHS/SHTS/TVET Placement Results
October 18 – 20, 2025 – Reporting of First-Year Students to Schools

How Placement is Determined

The GES has assured the public that placement into SHS, SHTS, or TVET institutions is merit-based and transparent, emphasizing that there are no fixed cut-off points. Factors influencing placement include:

Raw scores of candidates in the BECE
Competitiveness of the chosen school
Demand for the selected programme (e.g., Science, Business, Technical)
Overall aggregate
Boarding/day preferences
Catchment area considerations

This means two students with the same aggregate may not necessarily be placed in the same school, as raw scores and programme competitiveness also matter.

Fraud Alert: Placement is Free

The Ministry and GES continue to caution candidates, parents, and guardians against fraudulent individuals posing as officials who demand payment in exchange for influencing school placement. The public is reminded that the process is completely free of charge and no third-party influence can affect placement outcomes.
