The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that the eagerly awaited results of the promotion test held in February 2023 for various teaching grades have been officially released.
In a letter dated August 17 and sighted by GESHub.org, the GES has revealed that out of a total of 80,810 candidates who participated in the examination, a significant 69% (55,917 candidates) emerged successful.
The comprehensive breakdown of the results brings to light the achievements across different grades within the GES. Starting with the Deputy Director grade, a total of 8,565 candidates undertook the promotion test. Among them, 54% (4,655 candidates) achieved a successful outcome.
Moving on to the Assistant Director I grade, the figures are even more impressive. Out of the 25,556 candidates who took the test, a remarkable 85% (21,749 candidates) emerged triumphant.
In the case of the Assistant Director II grade, which saw the highest number of candidates participating, the results also showed commendable achievements. A total of 40,020 candidates sat for the promotion test, and among them, 61% (24,581 candidates) succeeded in demonstrating their qualifications for the grade.
For those aiming to attain the Principal Superintendent grade, a noteworthy 6,668 candidates participated in the test. Among this group, 74% (4,932 candidates) excelled, securing their position within this esteemed grade.
The GES has ensured that candidates who took part in the promotions test will receive a notification, indicating whether they were successful or not. It is important to note that access to the promotion site will not be available this year. However, successful candidates can anticipate the issuance of formal promotion letters in due course.
