In a much-anticipated development, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially disclosed the results for the promotion test that took place in February 2023, across various teaching grades within the organization.
The released data reveals that out of the staggering 80,810 candidates who participated in the promotion test, an impressive 55,917 individuals, constituting a solid 69%, have emerged successful.
Among the grades subjected to this evaluation, the results are as follows:

Deputy Director
A total of 8,565 candidates undertook the test for the Deputy Director grade. Among them, 4,655 individuals, accounting for 54%, triumphantly crossed the threshold.
Assistant Director I
The Assistant Director I grade witnessed a participation of 25,556 candidates. Of these, a remarkable 21,749 individuals, forming an impressive 85%, secured their success.
Assistant Director II
The Assistant Director II grade drew the attention of 40,020 candidates who aspired for promotion. 24,581 candidates, totaling 61%, successfully met the criteria for elevation.
Principal Superintendent
For the Principal Superintendent grade, an imposing total of 6,668 candidates participated in the promotion test. Among them, 4,932 candidates, making up a significant 74%, can now celebrate their triumph.
Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the Head of the Public Relations Unit, conveyed this exciting news to the teaching fraternity. She expressed the management’s satisfaction in the performance of the candidates and highlighted the rigorous effort put in by each individual to excel in their respective grades.
While candidates can expect to receive a message indicating their success or otherwise, it is important to note that the promotion site will not be accessible this year. However, all candidates should anticipate the formal release of promotion letters in due course.
