The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially begun the rollout of the much-anticipated GES Management Information System (GES-MIS) at ges-mis.org. This new platform is set to revolutionize how staff records are managed across the Service, ensuring that the days of filling out forms with the same information repeatedly are a thing of the past.
What is GES MIS?
The GES MIS is an integrated system designed to house all records of GES staff. Each teacher and staff member will have access to their personal records and will be able to report any GES-related issues directly through the portal. This includes matters such as salary discrepancies, arrears, promotions, and other administrative concerns. Once an issue is reported, the system ensures that it reaches the appropriate department at GES Headquarters for resolution.
Key Features
- Centralized Records Management: All staff information will be stored in one secure location, accessible anytime by the staff member.
- Direct Issue Reporting: Staff can report issues related to their employment directly on the portal, streamlining the resolution process.
- No More Repetitive Data Entry: The system eliminates the need for repeatedly filling out forms with the same data.
Logging In
Staff members will receive their credentials via SMS. Your username will be your Staff ID, and the SMS will include a system-generated password. Upon first logging in, you are required to change this password to something more memorable.
Important Note: Currently, there is no password reset feature available, so it is crucial to remember your new password. If you forget it, you may not be able to access the system until further updates are made to the platform.
How to log into GES MIS portal
- Visit the GES Management Information System portal
- Enter your Staff ID as username
- Enter your password
- Click on the Login button and update your information
Stay Alert
As the GES MIS rolls out, be on the lookout for an SMS with your login details. Once received, we encourage all staff to log in promptly and update their information to ensure the system functions smoothly.
This new platform marks a significant step forward in the modernization of GES operations, and we are confident it will greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of administrative processes across the Service.
