Current Status of the 2025 GES Promotion Exercise
The promotion process is actively underway nationwide. Index numbers have already been sent via SMS to all shortlisted applicants, detailing their Staff ID, Index Number, and designated examination centre. In addition, the complete list of shortlisted teachers has been forwarded to District and Regional Education Directorates for verification.

The 2025 GES Promotion Examinations will be conducted over two days:

Ranks: Principal Superintendent (PS) and Assistant Director II (AD II)
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 noon - Tuesday, 30th December 2025
Ranks: Assistant Director I (AD I) and Deputy Director (DD)

Examination Day Requirements
All candidates are required to:
- Present a valid National Identification Card at the examination centre.
- Clearly quote their Staff ID and Index Number on all examination materials.
- Arrive at the examination centre early to allow for verification and seating arrangements.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in disqualification.
Special Arrangements for Candidates with Special Needs
GES has made provisions for candidates with special needs, particularly the visually challenged. Designated centres have been allocated at:
