What Was the Original Announcement?
GES officially opened the 2025 promotion application on Thursday, 11th September, 2025, with a closing date set for Thursday, 9th October 2025. The new online portal was introduced to simplify and streamline the application process for teaching staff across the country.

- Deputy Director (DD)
- Assistant Director I (ADI)
- Assistant Director II (ADII)
- Principal Superintendent (PS)
Key Requirements:
- Applicants must have served in their current rank since 2021 or earlier.
- Master’s and PhD holders can apply if their certificates were obtained in 2023 or earlier from GES-approved courses.
- All required documents (e.g., promotion letters, academic certificates) must be uploaded in PDF format, while passport photos should be in JPG or PNG.
Current Issue: Access Blocked Due to Phishing Risk
The form hosted via the new link was reportedly based on Microsoft Forms. However, due to suspected misuse or improper setup, it has now been flagged as a phishing attempt by Microsoft. Anyone attempting to use the form will see a warning indicating that it is no longer accessible.
This incident raises serious concerns about data security and the reliability of the new application system. Teachers across the country who were preparing to apply may now be left confused or at risk of missing the application deadline.
What Should Teachers Do Now?
As of now, the GES has not issued an official update regarding the flagged form or any alternative method of application. Teachers are advised to avoid using the suspended link and wait for further communication from the Ghana Education Service through its official channels.
Those who may have already submitted personal information via the flagged form should monitor for unusual activity and consider reporting any suspicious messages or emails.
