The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released a revised academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic year, targeting Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) operating under the double track system.
In a circular dated 3rd April 2025, GES communicated this update to all Regional Directors of Education, instructing them to forward the information to heads of SHS/SHTS for strict compliance. The revised calendar supersedes the previous version issued on 16th October 2024.
The directive, signed by Dr. Munawaru Issahaque (PhD), the Acting Deputy Director-General (Q & A) on behalf of the Acting Director-General, highlights a renewed schedule for the entire academic year. The release also includes key exam timelines, holidays, and term breaks.
