Greetings to all students, parents, and educators! As we gear up for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), there have been recent developments regarding the proposed changes to the examination subjects.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially addressed the circulating information and provided clarification on the matter.
In a recent social media post, GES emphasized that there have been no changes or reductions in the subjects for the 2024 BECE candidates. The Management of GES specifically urged the public to disregard the video suggesting alterations to the examination structure.
The confusion arose from a video featuring the Director of Schools and Instructions Division at the Ghana Education Service, Prince Charles Agyemang-Duah.
The video claimed that there would be a reduction in the number of subjects for the upcoming BECE. However, GES has categorically stated that this information is false and should not be considered accurate.
The official statement from GES assures the public that any decision related to the BECE subjects will be communicated through “official channels”.
Stay tuned for further updates as we approach the 2024 BECE – a platform for students to prove their knowledge and skills in the subjects outlined by the Ghana Education Service.
