Students who recently sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) find themselves on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the crucial release of their results.
Beyond being a mere formality, the outcome of this examination serves as the key that unlocks the door to the next chapter of their academic journey.
For these candidates, the stakes are undeniably high. The results of the WASSCE will determine their eligibility for entry into various tertiary institutions within the country, where they aspire to pursue their chosen courses.
Since the completion of their last WASSCE paper, months have passed, and a burning question has lingered persistently in the minds of these students – “Is WASSCE 2023 results released?”
In an effort to address this collective inquiry, GESHub.org took the proactive initiative to seek direct answers from officials within the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). The response received from the WAEC management is both comforting and informative.

Candidates are strongly advised to stay informed through official channels and the WAEC website. The unveiling of individual achievements within the results not only marks a personal milestone for each student but also opens doors to exciting opportunities in higher education.
A total of 447,204 candidates, made up of 211,834 males and 235,370 females drawn from 975 schools entered for the examination. This figure indicates an increase of 5.8% compared to the 2022 entry figure of 422,883.
The examination took place at 834 centres across the country. A total of sixty (60) subjects, comprising four (4) core and fifty-six (56) electives were made available to prospective candidates to choose from.
