A total of 27 schools have confirmed their participation in the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz, marking the 28th edition of this prestigious event since its inception in 1994.
One of the defining aspects of this competition is the quest for the title of champions in Maths and Science education within Ghana. Current and former students from these schools take every opportunity to assert their school’s dominance, likening themselves to the likes of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo when their school emerges victorious.
In the NSMQ, a “seeded school” refers to a school that successfully progresses from the preliminary stages to the one-eighth and quarter-finals. Essentially, any school that wins its one-eighth stage contest automatically secures a seeded position for the following year.
The advantage of being a seeded school is that, while other schools strive to qualify through regional championships, seeded schools await their arrival in the National championship. Check out the schools that have been seeded for NSMQ 2024 National Championship below.
