The Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training Service (GTVETS) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting suitably qualified Ghanaians to apply for various teaching and non-teaching positions across the country.
The recruitment drive, which began on Friday, May 8, 2026, follows financial clearance granted by the Ministry of Finance and is being conducted in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.
According to the Service, the exercise is aimed at strengthening technical and vocational education delivery nationwide by recruiting competent professionals and support staff for deployment across Ghana.
Available Positions
The recruitment covers a wide range of vacancies under two major categories:
Teaching Staff Positions
Applications are open for teaching-related roles including:
- Senior Tutor/Facilitator
- Tutor
For the position of Senior Tutor/Facilitator, applicants must possess:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Education, Social Sciences, or related fields
- A professional qualification in Education
- At least one year of post-Bachelor’s working experience
Candidates applying for Tutor positions are expected to have:
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- A professional qualification in Education
Non-Teaching Staff Positions
GTVETS is also recruiting for several non-teaching and administrative roles, including:
- Administrative Managers
- Assistant Administrative Managers
- Senior Assistants
- Matrons and Assistant Matrons
- Catering Officers and Catering Assistants
- Security Guards
- Drivers
- Cleaners/Labourers
The qualification requirements for these roles vary depending on the position. While some entry-level vacancies require BECE or WASSCE certificates, senior positions demand higher academic qualifications such as Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees.
General Eligibility Requirements
The Service stated that all applicants must:
- Possess relevant academic and professional qualifications
- Be willing to work in any part of Ghana
- Have completed National Service where applicable
- Successfully pass competitive selection interviews
GTVETS emphasized that the recruitment process will be conducted transparently and strictly on merit.

Application Deadline
The deadline for submission of applications is: Friday, May 22, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to submit their forms before the closing date to avoid disqualification.
GTVETS Warns Against Fraudsters
The Ghana TVET Service has cautioned the public against paying money to individuals claiming they can influence the recruitment process.
According to the Service, the recruitment exercise is designed to be transparent, equitable, and merit-based, and no middleman is required at any stage of the application process.
Prospective applicants are therefore advised to rely only on official communication channels and the approved recruitment portal for all application-related processes.
