Charges and Allegations

The GES has accused these headteachers of charging students various unapproved fees, including borla dues, books, calculators, admission process fees, and charges for the printing of slips, files, and hymn books.

These actions are a clear violation of the guidelines set by the GES, prompting swift action to address the issue.

Initiation of Investigations

In letters issued to the implicated headteachers, the GES management communicated the initiation of comprehensive investigations into their conduct. This demonstrates the commitment of the education service to uphold transparency, accountability, and fair practices within the educational system.

Impact on Students

The unauthorized fees charged by these headteachers could have significant implications for students and their families. The burden of additional and unapproved expenses can create financial strain and hinder students’ access to education, which goes against the fundamental principles of providing quality and affordable education for all.
