The 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz Championship for Nationals is gearing up for an exciting start on September 26, beginning with its launch and the much-anticipated preliminary stage balloting.
As the event draws near, GESHub.org has the inside scoop on the number of schools that will be vying for the coveted championship title this year.
In a noteworthy development, seven private schools are set to make their mark in the National Championship’s preliminary stage and will be placed in Pot C.
With a grand total of 115 schools in the fray, consisting of 108 schools that have successfully qualified through the Regional Qualifiers and an additional seven private schools, the stage is set for an intense battle of wits and knowledge.
At the preliminary stage, there will be a total of 39 contests, each designed to test the students’ knowledge in science and mathematics.
However, it is worth noting that one contest will have only one school competing, making it a unique showdown in the competition.
To ensure that every contest is as thrilling and competitive as possible, the organizers of the NSMQ, Primetime, have extended a special invitation to two qualifiers, namely St. Joseph Seminary SHS (39 points) and Nkoranza SHTS (39 points).
Their inclusion will complete the set of contests, guaranteeing an exciting and well-rounded National Championship.
