The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2024 has been nothing short of thrilling, and we have a story to tell. It is a tale of persistence, wit, and a touch of drama, and it is all about Mfantsipim School securing their spot in the semi-finals!
Round 1
The journey began with Round 1, where Prempeh College took the early lead with 30 points, followed closely by Mfantsipim School at 29 points. Swedru Sec. Sch. was right there with them, also at 13 points.
The competition was heating up, and it was clear that this was going to be a rollercoaster ride.
Round 2
In Round 2, Mfantsipim School refused to be left behind, pulling off an impressive comeback to take the lead with 38 points, followed by Premepeh College with 35 points. Swedru Sec. Sch. was not far behind, trailing with 13 points. The tension was intense, and it was anybody’s game.
Round 3
As Round 3 rolled around, the competition remained fierce. Mfantsipim School and Prempeh College continued to match each other point for point, both standing at 40 and 36 points respectively, while Swedru Sec. Sch. still trailed at 14. It was like a high-stakes chess match with the world’s smartest grandmasters.
Round 4
The most thrilling part of the story came in Round 4. Mfantsipim School did not just take the lead; they surged ahead to 50 points, leaving Prempeh College and Swedru Sec. Sch. trailing with 46 and 24 points, respectively.
At the end of the contest, when the dust had settled, and the numbers had been tallied, Mfantsipim School emerged victorious with a final score of 56 points, winning the sudden death (tiebreaker) question. Their incredible journey through the rounds had secured them a well-deserved spot in the NSMQ 2024 semi-finals. What a show of intellect and determination!
So, there you have it, folks! Mfantsipim School has proven that in the world of knowledge and wits, they are a force to be reckoned with. The NSMQ 2024 journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions, and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for the semi-finals.
