In a bid to streamline and enhance the registration process for the upcoming 2024 May/June Certificate II Examinations and various technical programs, the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) of the Republic of Ghana has announced the commencement of electronic batch registration.
In a recent press release dated February 9th, 2024, the CTVET addressed stakeholders and the general public, outlining crucial details and instructions for the registration process. The release emphasized the importance of adhering to the specified timelines and guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient registration experience.
Key points highlighted in the press release include:
- Opening and Closing Dates: The registration portal for the 2024 May/June batch will be accessible from Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, until midnight on Friday, March 29th, 2024.
- Name Verification: Candidates are urged to meticulously review the spelling and arrangement of their names before the software is processed, as the CTVET will not accept responsibility for any inaccuracies.
- Exclusivity of Electronic Registration: Manual registrations will not be entertained, underscoring the transition to a fully electronic registration system.
- Continuous Assessment Marks: It is imperative for institutions to compile and input the Continuous Assessment marks of 30% for Certificate II candidates onto the software.
- Entry Qualifications for DBS Candidates: Specific entry qualifications, including GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes, RSA or Ghana Commercial Examinations Stage II, or SSS/SSSCE/WASSCE passes, are outlined for DBS candidates.
- Fee Payment: The correct fees for each candidate should be paid directly to CTVET, with detailed fee schedules available on the registration portal.
- Minimum Candidate Requirements: Each program must have a minimum of five registered candidates, as per CTVET regulations.
- Photograph Specifications: Photographs submitted should adhere to the specified dimensions (3cm x 3cm) with a white background.
- Compulsory Technical Drawing: Except for candidates pursuing specific programs such as Hospitality and Catering Management, Cosmetology, Fashion Designing Technology, Printing, and General Textiles, Technical Drawing is mandatory for all third-year candidates.
