CTVET Introduces New Grading System for Technical Students

In a bold move to enhance the quality and recognition of technical education in Ghana, the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) has recently announced a major revamp of the grading system for technical students.

The new grading system is a significant step forward, aiming to provide greater opportunities and empower students pursuing technical and vocational education. This transformative change highlights Ghana’s commitment to nurturing a highly skilled workforce capable of driving economic growth and innovation.

For far too long, technical and vocational education has been undervalued and overshadowed by the traditional academic pathway in many countries, including Ghana. However, this new grading system signifies a paradigm shift in recognizing the importance and worth of technical skills in shaping Ghana’s future.

By redefining the grading system, CTVET acknowledges that technical education is not inferior but rather an alternative and equally important pathway for students to excel.
