The Ghana Education Service has on Tuesday, June 13, announced that it has appointed Mrs. Mabel Judith Micah as the new Savannah Regional Director of Education.

She has an impressive thirty-three years of experience in the field of education.

Background and Education
Mrs. Mabel Judith Micah’s educational qualifications are extensive and reflect her commitment to continuous professional development. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education from the University of Ghana, Legon, which she obtained in 2010.
Additionally, she completed a B.Ed. in Agriculture Education from the University of Education, Winneba (Mampong Ashanti). Currently, she is pursuing an MPhil program in Educational Administration & Management from the University of Education, Winneba.
Professional Journey
Mrs. Micah’s career in education began on September 1st, 1990. Throughout the years, she has steadily risen through the ranks, demonstrating her competence and dedication at each step. Her previous positions include serving as a Substantive Girls Education Officer at La Nkwantanang, Madina Education Office, and as a Substantive Administrative and Finance Officer at the same Education Office in the Greater Accra Region.
Mrs. Micah’s leadership skills were recognized when she served as the substantive Headmistress of Tema Manhean Senior High Technical School in the Greater Accra Region.
Subsequently, she held the position of District Director of Education for Jaman North, Sampa in the Bono Region. During her tenure, she also acted as the Headmistress of Sumaman Senior High School until the appointment of a substantive headmaster/headmistress.
In July 2020, Mrs. Micah was appointed as the substantive Director of Education in the Effutu Municipal Education Directorate in Winneba. She also served as the Acting District Director of Education for the Gomoa West District Education Directorate in Apam from March to July 2021.
Her vast experience in various educational roles demonstrates her versatility and adaptability in different contexts.
