A recent graduate of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has made it clear that her expected salary threshold for any job offer post-national service is GH₵4,000 or higher. Speaking during an interview on the Maxi Empire DDP YouTube channel, the graduate expressed her determination to secure a well-paying job in line with her qualifications.
The graduate, who participated in the interview during her graduation ceremony, emphasized that she will not consider any offer below her stipulated amount. She believes that her degree equips her for opportunities that match her expectations. “I don’t think I will settle for GH₵2,000,” she said, adding, “GH₵2,000 is below standard for me as a degree holder. Maybe some 4k won’t be bad.”
She highlighted her experiences during her national service, explaining how they shaped her perspective on job opportunities and salary expectations. According to her, there are many jobs in the country that offer attractive remuneration packages, but accessing such roles requires strategic networking and connections.
“When I started my service, I got to know that there are really good-paying jobs,” she stated. “All you need is the connection. When I say connection, I mean when you are doing your service, you have to connect to people who have those offers to give you.”

She believes that her degree should serve as a gateway to better opportunities, and she is committed to leveraging her networks to achieve her goal of earning at least GH₵4,000.
