The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has recently introduced new requirements for accessing loans from the teachers’ fund. These changes come in line with the latest directives from the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD).

If you are a teacher looking to access these loans, it’s essential to be aware of the updated guidelines to ensure a smooth loan application process.

Generating Your Mandate Form

One of the key changes in the loan application process is the generation of a mandate form. When a teacher initiates this form, a Personal Identification Number (PIN) or a unique code will be sent to their registered mobile phone number via SMS. This mandate PIN is crucial, as the GNAT district secretariat will require it to finalize the mandate request form, which can be obtained from the GNAT office.

Maintaining Up-to-Date Mobile Phone Numbers

To stay aligned with the new directive from CAGD, it is of utmost importance for teachers to keep their phone numbers updated. Failure to update your phone number on the epayslip platform could result in the inability to access loans under the new regulations.

If you receive your salary through the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, take the necessary steps to verify and correct your phone number and passport picture on the platform.
