The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a strong warning to the public, dismissing a fake recruitment letter circulating on social media. The letter falsely claims that financial clearance has been given for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff. However, according to GES, this communication did not come from them, and no such recruitment process has been announced.
In a statement released on Sunday, September 21, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenny, the GES confirmed that the recruitment letter is entirely fraudulent. The Service made it clear that no financial clearance has been granted for such a large-scale hiring initiative and that no recruitment exercise has been launched at this time.
“Management wishes to state that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet,” the statement emphasized.
GES also reminded the public that any official announcements regarding recruitment will only be made through their official channels or the Ministry of Education’s platforms. They urged the general public, especially job seekers, to be cautious of these deceptive claims.
To prevent people from falling victim to scams, GES urged individuals to ignore the fraudulent letter and report any suspicious activities related to it. “The public is advised to disregard the fake letter and report any fraudulent activities linked to it,” the statement read.
