NTC 2024 GTLE 1 cost, indexing & registration process, deadline and examination date

Following the release of the recent edition of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) by the National Teaching Council, the registration portal has gone live to accept new applications for the examination.

In today’s guide, GESHub.org has outlined in detail, the step-by-step guide to follow to perform your indexing and complete the online registration processes. Furthermore, the cost of registration as well as the deadline and examination date has been shared.

Examination Registration Cost

  1. Indexing Fee: GHC50
  2. Fresh Candidates: GHC450
  3. Resit Candidates (1 Paper): GHC150
  4. Resit Candidates (2 Papers): GHC210
  5. Resit Candidates (3 Papers): GHC385

Indexing Process

  1. A prospective candidate shall be indexed before registering for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination.
  2. An indexing fee is Fifty Ghana Cedis (GHC50.00).
  3. Payment can be made at any branch of Prudential Bank Ltd nationwide or mobile money payment can be made through the short code *772*51# across all networks by using your college or university index number.
  4. After successful payment, you will receive a message on your phone which contains your name, indexing number and further instructions.
  5. Visit indexing.ntc.gov.gh to verify your details by logging in with your indexing number received on your phone via SMS. For the in-banking payment, if you do not receive indexing number immediately you can use your transaction number from the bank which can be found on the payment receipt to log in to verify your details. further instructions.
  6. Use the indexing number to register for Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination

NOTE 1

  1. Before a prospective candidate can make payment, his/her details will have to be uploaded onto the indexing portal by their training institutions.
  2. A prospective candidate will not be able to pay at the bank or via the short code if he/she does not have a minimum qualification of degree.

Examination Registration Process

  1. Candidates shall pay four hundred and fifty Ghana Cedis (GHC450.00) for three papers.
  2. Payment can be made at any branch of Prudential Bank Ltd nationwide or mobile money payment can be made through the short code *772*51# across all networks.
  3. Where payment is made at the bank, candidates must remember to take their Pin and Serial Number from the bank.
  4. Log on to exams.ntc.gov.gh
  5. Enter your e-voucher Serial number and Pin
  6. Fill in all the fields and remember to upload your passport-size photograph.

NOTE 2

  1. NTC will not accept any request for change of photograph after the examination.
  2. Review information provided before submitting.
  3. Print Summary of the inputs made.
  4. Read the examination regulations and check the box before submission.
  5. Candidates should keep their Pin and Serial Numbers secured after registration for further use.

NOTE 3

  1. There will be no extension in the time for registration beyond the 20th of February 2024 deadline.
  2. Dress code should be formal or professional.
  3. No baby at the examination hall.
  4. A candidate shall select and write the SBGTLE in their major subject. In the case of Early Grade/Early Childhood or Primary a candidate shall select and write multiple subjects content.
  5. All candidates shall select and write a paper in pedagogy related to their area of specialisation (pedagogy in early grade/early childhood, pedagogy in primary and JHS and pedagogy in SHS/TVET).
  6. Announcement for registration of re-sit candidates for the traditional GTLE shall be made very soon.

Registration Timelines

  1. Registration Date: January 20
  2. Deadline: February 20

Examination Date

  1. March 17 – March 19
