The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially issued an important public notice to clarify ongoing discussions surrounding the much-anticipated 2026 Diploma and Graduate teacher recruitment exercise.
In a statement dated 23rd January 2026, and released by the Public Relations Unit at GES Headquarters in Accra, management of the Service addressed reports and documents circulating widely on social media which claim that recruitment into the Service has already begun.
GES reacts to fake recruitment letters
According to the official release, management of the Ghana Education Service has sighted a letter allegedly issued by the Service, announcing the commencement of recruitment for Diploma and Graduate teachers. GES has categorically denied the authenticity of this document.
The Service has stressed that the letter currently circulating on social media platforms did not originate from GES and should be treated as fake and misleading.
Recruitment has NOT started
GES has clearly informed the general public, particularly prospective applicants, that recruitment into the Service has not yet begun. Any information suggesting otherwise is false and should be disregarded.
Management emphasized that no timelines, portals, or application procedures for the 2026 Diploma and Graduate recruitment have been officially announced at this time.
Official announcements will come only from GES platforms
The Service further assured the public that when recruitment officially begins, a formal announcement will be made exclusively through GES’s recognized and official communication channels. These include official press releases and approved GES platforms.
Applicants are therefore advised to rely only on verified GES sources for accurate information and updates.
Public advised to remain vigilant
GES has strongly cautioned the public to treat any recruitment announcement that does not emanate from its official platforms as false. The Service urged applicants to remain vigilant to avoid falling victim to misinformation, scams, or fraudsters who often exploit such situations.
