The National Teaching Council (NTC) has officially announced the release of the second and third phases of this year’s teacher licensure examinations results.
A staggering total of 24,904 candidates took part in the examinations at various centers, marking a significant milestone in the evaluation of prospective educators.
Second Phase Results: Reform Edition
In the second phase of the 2023 Ghana teacher licensure examination (reform), a substantial 20,181 candidates participated. Out of this number, 10,625 individuals, representing an impressive 52.6%, successfully passed the examination.
However, it is worth noting that 9,556 candidates, accounting for 47.4%, faced a setback as they did not meet the required criteria for licensure.
Third Phase Results: Traditional Subjects
Moving on to the third phase of the licensure examination, which focused on traditional subjects, a total of 4,724 candidates were part of the national examination. Among them, 2,130 candidates, constituting 45%, demonstrated their proficiency and secured a passing grade.
On the flip side, 2,594 candidates, representing 54%, unfortunately did not make the cut this time.
Checking Your Results Online
For prospective tertiary graduates who sat for the 2023 edition of the national examinations for teachers, the NTC has provided a convenient online platform for result checking. To access your Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) results, simply visit exams.ntc.gov.gh.

Simple steps to check NTC Licensure Examination Results
Step 1: Visit the NTC Results Checking
Portal Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device and go to the NTC results checking portal. The website address is exams.ntc.gov.gh.
Step 2: Enter Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Serial Number
On the results checking portal, locate the input fields for your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Serial Number. Enter the correct PIN and Serial Number that you used during your examination registration.
Step 3: Submit Your Information
Once you have entered your PIN and Serial Number correctly, click on the “Submit” button or a similar option to proceed.
Step 4: Access Your NTC Licensure Examination Results
Upon successful submission of your information, the NTC website will display your GTLE examination results on the screen. Take a moment to review your results, including subject grades and any additional information provided.
Step 5: Print Your Provisional Certificate
After checking your results and ensuring they are accurate; you have the option to print your provisional certificate. Look for a print button or an option to generate your provisional certificate. Click on this option, and follow the on-screen instructions to print your certificate.
Step 6: Save a Digital Copy (Optional)
If you prefer to keep a digital copy of your GTLE results and provisional certificate, you can take a screenshot or save the webpage as a PDF file. This will allow you to access and refer to your results conveniently in the future.
