The National Teaching Council (NTC) of Ghana has once again made adjustments to the schedule for the 2024 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 1, marking the second rescheduling of the examination date. Originally planned for March 17 to March 19, 2024, the examination date was initially extended to April 22 to April 24, 2024, to accommodate the registration process.
Now, in response to a petition from the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) and considering the need for Awarding Institutions to upload data onto the NTC examination portal, the NTC has announced a further extension of the registration deadline, prompting a second change in the examination dates.
This decision was made in the interest of ensuring that all eligible candidates, particularly those from the Colleges of Education, have ample time to complete their registration process. The NTC understands the importance of providing candidates with sufficient time to prepare for the examination and recognizes the challenges faced by some institutions in uploading candidate data onto the portal promptly.
As a result, the registration deadline for the 2024 GTLE 1 has been extended to Thursday, March 14, 2024. This additional time will enable Awarding Institutions to finalize the uploading of data onto the NTC portal, facilitating a smoother registration process for prospective candidates.
Furthermore, the examination dates have been adjusted accordingly, and the GTLE 1 will now take place from April 22 to April 24, 2024. The NTC urges all prospective candidates to take note of these changes and to complete their registration before the revised deadline.
