The Aggrieved Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) beneficiaries have found themselves in a state of distress due to the continuous delay in receiving their nine months’ arrears. Despite their persistent efforts to seek payment from the government, their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

This dire situation has left these beneficiaries in a state of hardship, struggling to make ends meet.

David Petterson, the National Convener of the Aggrieved NABCo Beneficiaries, highlighted the unbearable conditions they have been facing. The delay in payment has made it challenging for them to sustain their livelihoods, causing immense frustration and hardship.

Petterson and fellow beneficiaries have made numerous attempts to seek resolution and payment, but all efforts have been met with disappointment.

In light of their plight, David Petterson has called on the government to fulfill its promises and expedite the payment of the nine months’ arrears. The beneficiaries understand that timely payment of these outstanding dues is crucial to enable them to recover from their financial struggles and regain stability.

The urgency of the situation cannot be understated, as these beneficiaries have already endured months of uncertainty and hardship.

In December of the previous year, the beneficiaries issued a one-week ultimatum to the government, demanding the payment of their long-overdue arrears. Unfortunately, their concerns were not addressed within the stipulated timeframe.

Despite engaging with the government on multiple occasions regarding their unpaid allowances, the beneficiaries have faced nothing but disappointment.

Naa Techie, spokesperson for the former NABCo trainees, expressed her sentiments regarding the prolonged delay in the payment of their arrears. She emphasized that the NABCo trainees have been left in a state of uncertainty and limbo.

Moreover, these beneficiaries have endured public ridicule, severe hardships, and even the threat of starvation. The situation they find themselves in is dire and requires immediate attention.

It is our hope that this plea is heard and acted upon promptly, ensuring a brighter future for the Aggrieved NABCo Beneficiaries.
