MoE opens 2023/24 STEM school selection portal

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics school selection portal has been opened by the Ministry of Education for the 2023/24 academic year to allow students to select their preferred schools.

MoE has done this in hopes that interested students will make their school choices on the portal before the release of the Basic Education Certificate Examination by the West African Examination Council in the coming week.

Stem education gives a skill set that governs the way we think and behave. Merging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, STEM education helps us to solve the challenges the world faces today.

So far, a total of four STEM schools have been built, whiles five projects are ongoing, which includes a whooping one hundred and twenty ultra-modern facilities.

It is the mission of the Ghana STEM school to meet the educational and professional development needs of a diverse community of STEM learners with cutting-edge and engaging experiences in flexible learning spaces through pioneering from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Ghana STEM school has a vision of providing innovative programs and support to a diverse community of STEM learners and entrepreneurs in Ghana.

Through STEM, students will develop key skills including:

Problem solving
Creativity
Digital literacy
Critical analysis
