The National Service Secretariat has released a video demonstration of the NSS post deployment registration process for service year.
The video demonstration comes shortly after the Secretariat released the new NSS registration processes / flow chart for prospective service personnel.
These personnel are required to log on to the scheme’s website at portal.nss.gov.gh to confirm the specifics of their placements.
Checking of placement should be done before visiting your respective user agency to endorse your letter of appointment.
According to the video, National Service Personnel (NSP) will be required to;
- Log onto the NSS website: portal.nss.gov.gh, click on ‘check postings’ and print the postings and appointment letter.
- Proceed to user agency for acceptance and endorsement of the appointment letter by the Head of organization or Human Resource Director with Official stamp.
- After endorsement by user agency, schedule an appointment date and time on the NSS website for the regional verification and acceptance.
- Verify your identity at a designated NSS Regional Zonal Registration Centre to obtain a Regional Acceptance Number (RAN). Please provide one of these required document;
- Student ID
- Ghana Card
- Voter’s ID
- Driver’s License
- Travel Passport
- SSNIT ID
- A registration office will take you through the facial recognition process
- Visit the NSS website and print out the new appointment letter bearing the Regional Acceptance Number (RAN).
- Submit a copy of the registered appointment letter to the NSS District Office, another to the user agency, and keep one for yourself.
- If you are rejected by a user agency, visit the NSS Regional Office for help.
It is to be noted that only personnel who book appointment would be attended to at the Regional Zonal Registration Centers.
