The much-anticipated moment has finally arrived for candidates who recently sat for the West African Examinations Council’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). After weeks of anticipation, the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal as at the time of this publication is now live, bringing relief to candidates who have been eagerly awaiting their school placements.
With only a few days left before the commencement of the 2023/2024 academic year, questions have been swirling as to why the portal was inaccessible until now.
As per the Ghana Education Service academic calendar, candidates are expected to report to Senior High School on December 4, 2023, heightening the urgency surrounding the CSSPS portal’s availability.
The CSSPS portal, a crucial platform for students seeking placement in Senior High Schools, has been a focal point of concern and curiosity for weeks. Many candidates have been diligently checking the portal, eager to discover the schools they have been assigned to for the upcoming academic year.
The urgency is further emphasized by the impending start of the academic calendar, leaving students with limited time to prepare for their transition to Senior High School.
As the portal finally goes live, candidates can now breathe a sigh of relief. The Ministry of Education is poised to make an official announcement regarding the release of school placements, bringing an end to the suspense that has surrounded this process.
The CSSPS portal serves as a critical tool in streamlining the school placement process, ensuring a fair and transparent allocation of students to various Senior High Schools. Its accessibility issues in the past weeks have only fueled the curiosity and concern among candidates, adding to the overall tension surrounding this crucial phase in their academic journey.
With the portal now accessible, candidates are encouraged to promptly check their school placements as the Ministry of Education is expected to make the official announcement soon. This marks a significant milestone for these students, as they take the next step in their education.
