The Ghana Education Service (GES) recently announced a one-day training workshop for newly recruited graduate teachers, originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. The workshop was to be held at the Canterbury Hall of Adisadel College in Cape Coast, with a starting time of 9:00 AM. However, GES has issued an update postponing the event until further notice.

This training workshop, spearheaded by the Regional Directorate of Education in the Central Region and endorsed by Mr. Emmanuel Essuman, the Regional Director of Education, was designed to provide critical orientation to newly recruited graduate teachers. The session aimed to introduce participants to the latest policies, trends, and operational frameworks within the Ghana Education Service. The goal was to ensure a smooth transition for these educators into their roles and to empower them with the tools and knowledge necessary for effective teaching.

Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education were instructed to release the newly appointed teachers under their jurisdiction to attend the program. Similarly, heads of second-cycle schools were requested to support the facilitation process.
