If you just checked your BECE results and noticed a “W” (withheld) or a “*” (cancelled) beside one of your subjects, don’t panic! WAEC has set up a brand-new portal to help students like you follow up and know what’s happening with your results.
The platform is called the Irregularity Reporting & Investigation System (IRIS) and it’s available here irreg.waecgh.org.
What’s the Portal For?
The portal was created so students, parents, and even schools can check the status of cases related to exam irregularities. Instead of waiting around and wondering, you can log in anytime and see updates in real time.
Think of it as WAEC’s way of being more open and giving you direct access to the progress of your case.
How to Log In as a Student
It’s simple. Here’s what you need to do:
- Go to irreg.waecgh.org.
- Click on Candidate Login.
- Enter your Index Number.
- Add your Date of Birth.
- Select your Year of Examination.
- Hit Submit and check your status.
That’s it! You’ll see if WAEC has made any decisions or updates about your withheld or cancelled results.
Schools Have Their Own Login Too
If you’re worried about handling this on your own, don’t stress. Schools also have a separate login where they can manage cases for their students. So your headteacher or exam officer can track things for you as well.
