Yilo Krobo Senior High School’s NSMQ journey began at the Eastern Regional Qualifiers, where they displayed their academic prowess by eliminating not one, not two, but three schools, earning their place in the National Championship.
As they moved on to the Preliminary stage, Yilo Krobo SHS continued their impressive run. They faced formidable opponents in the form of St. Monica’s SHS and Atebubu SHS but emerged victorious, earning a spot in the One-eighth Stage.
The One-eighth Stage proved to be another arena where Yilo Krobo SHS showcased their intellectual prowess. In this stage, they eliminated Fijai SHS and St. Hubert Seminary SHS, a quarterfinalist from the previous year.
Yilo Krobo SHS reached the Quarter-finals, a significant achievement in itself. Here, they faced off against Mfantsipim School, one of the NSMQ’s powerhouses. The match was a keen contest, and Yilo Krobo SHS gave their all, losing by a narrow 3-point margin. Their performance in the Quarter-finals highlighted their mettle and competitive spirit.
