The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the timetable for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for both school and private candidates.
The exams are set to begin on Monday, June 9, and end on Monday, June 16, 2025. School candidates will be tested based on the new curriculum, while private candidates will take exams under the old curriculum.
The BECE is a crucial exam that determines students’ placement in senior high schools across the country.
2025 BECE Timetable (New Curriculum – School Candidates)
- Monday, June 9 – Social Studies & Computing
- Tuesday, June 10 – English Language & Career Technology
- Wednesday, June 11 – Science & Ghanaian Language
- Thursday, June 12 – Mathematics & Religious and Moral Education (RME)
- Friday, June 13 – French & Creative Art & Design
- Monday, June 16 – Arabic
2025 BECE Timetable (Old Curriculum – Private Candidates)
- Monday, June 9 – Social Studies & ICT
- Tuesday, June 10 – English Language & Basic Design and Technology
- Wednesday, June 11 – Integrated Science & Ghanaian Language and Culture
- Thursday, June 12 – Mathematics & RME
- Friday, June 13 – French
