NSS Service Fee Refund 2025 | The National Service Scheme (NSS) has announced that all graduates who paid and registered on the old portal in June 2025 will receive full refunds of their service fees. This comes after the launch of a new and more secure registration portal, gnsa.gov.gh, following the suspension of the previous system.
Why the Refund?
According to Ms. Ruth Dela Seddoh, Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), all registrations completed on the old portal in June 2025 have been declared null and void. This decision was made after a technical and forensic audit, which revealed major data integrity issues, including age discrepancies and unverifiable details.
As a result, all prospective national service personnel must re-register on the newly deployed digital platform. However, the NSA has assured that legitimate applicants who already paid on the previous system will be refunded.
New Registration Process
The new NSS portal — gnsa.gov.gh — is now fully operational and should be used for all national service registration activities, including:
- Checking your 2025/2026 NSS posting
- Printing your appointment letter
- Updating personal details
- Completing regional validation
Note: A valid Ghana Card number is now required for login and verification.
When Does National Service Start?
The 2025/2026 national service year officially begins on:
- Saturday, 1st November 2025 – All personnel must report to their assigned service stations
- Monday, 3rd November 2025 – The service year formally commences
All graduates are advised to complete their re-registration, download appointment letters, and report on time.
Beware of Fake Links
The NSS has strongly warned against using unofficial websites or third-party agents claiming to assist with registration or postings. All valid processes must be completed on the official portal:
