Step 1: Access the Official NSS Enrollment Portal

The first step in the NSS registration process for 2025/2026 is to visit the official portal.

Step 2: Check Your NSS PIN Code Online

  • Index Number
  • Date of Birth (as it appears on your Ghana Card)

Click “Check PIN Code.”
Once verified, your NSS PIN code will be displayed on the screen. This is your personal identification number for completing the national service registration.

Step 3: Activate Your NSS PIN Code – Make Payment

After your PIN appears, you will notice that the status is “inactive.” To activate it, click “Make Payment.”

The NSS PIN code fee for 2025/2026 is GHS 41.00.

Payment can be made instantly via Mobile Money (MoMo). This activation step is mandatory before you can proceed to the registration form.

Step 4: Pay Your NSS PIN Code Fee via MoMo

You will be redirected to a secure payment page. Follow these steps:

  1. Select your Mobile Money network – MTN, AirtelTigo, or Telecel.
  2. Enter your active phone number.
  3. Click “Make Payment.”
  4. Approve the payment prompt on your phone.

If you don’t receive a prompt, manually authorize it using your MoMo USSD menu by dialing *170# → Wallet → My Approvals → Enter PIN → Approve Transaction.
Once completed, click “I Have Paid” on the portal.

Step 5: Configure Your NSS Account

After successful payment, you’ll proceed to set up your NSS account.
Provide the following details carefully:

  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Password

Click “Complete Setup.” This creates your NSS user account, which you’ll use for all future logins.

Step 6: Log In to Your NSS Portal Account

Return to the homepage at posting.gnsa.gov.gh, and log in using your email and password. Once logged in, you’ll gain full access to your NSS personnel dashboard and registration form.

You will be required to verify your identity using your Ghana Card Number.
Enter it in the correct format:
GHA-123456789-0 (3 letters, 9 digits, and 1 last digit).

Click “Next” to continue.

Step 8: Set Up Your GhanaPay Account

You’ll be asked whether you have an existing GhanaPay (ChamPay) account.
This account is necessary for receiving your monthly NSS allowance.

Select “Yes” if you already have one, or “No” if you don’t. The system will guide you to create or link your account automatically.
