In a recent letter titled “Update on Teacher Trainee Allowance”, the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana addressed Teacher Trainees with a crucial update regarding the disbursement of their allowances.
The letter, presented on behalf of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Association, brought great news that allowance payment has been confirmed and is set to be disbursed during the current week.
Eligible Teacher Trainees can expect to receive the allowance for three months, which will undoubtedly provide much-needed support during their educational journey. However, the letter also conveyed a significant change to the allowance component of Trainees.
According to the information available to GESHub.org, the allowance has been reduced to GH¢ 149.00. This decision was based on a request made by PRINCOF to the Ministry of Education (MoE) in the previous academic year. The objective behind the reduction was to supplement the feeding of Trainees, effective from the current academic year.
Despite this reduction, the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana expressed their heartfelt appreciation to all Teacher Trainees for their patience, commitment, and unwavering support throughout the fight for the Teacher Trainees’ allowance. The Association assured the Trainees that they remain resolute in their efforts to secure the best possible outcomes for their welfare.
