The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the commencement of the 2024 Inter-Regional and Inter/Intra District repostings. In a circular addressed to all Regional/Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors, management detailed the process and timelines for this year’s reposting exercise.
According to the announcement, the procedure for GES staff seeking assurance remains unchanged. Detailed guidelines and the necessary documents required for the process have been attached for reference. Assurance letters for staff are scheduled to be issued from Monday, 20th May, 2024, until Wednesday, 19th June, 2024.
The processing of Inter-Regional reposting applications to the Headquarters is set to begin on Monday, 1st July, 2024. These repostings will take effect from the beginning of the next academic year in September 2024.
Regional Directors have been urged to compile and forward lists of all staff who have been given assurance in their respective regions to the GES Headquarters. It is emphasized that completed applications must reach the GES Headquarters no later than Wednesday, 31st July, 2024. Any documents received after this deadline will not be accepted.
Furthermore, the circular emphasizes that a staff member seeking reposting can only be released after the Director-General has approved and issued a reposting letter to the applicant.
