The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the commencement of the 2024 Inter-Regional and Inter/Intra District reposting exercise. In a directive addressed to all Regional/Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors, management outlined the key details and timelines for this year’s process.
Maintaining continuity with previous procedures, GES staff seeking assurance are advised that the process remains unchanged. Detailed instructions and the necessary documents required for assurance have been provided and are available for reference.
Assurance letters for staff members are scheduled to be issued starting from Monday, 20th May, 2024, and will continue until Wednesday, 19th June, 2024. It is imperative that all Regional Directors compile and forward lists of staff who have received assurance in their respective regions to GES Headquarters.
The processing of Inter-Regional reposting applications to the Headquarters will commence on Monday, 1st July, 2024. These repostings will take effect from the beginning of the following academic year, specifically September, 2024.
Applicants are reminded that completed applications must be submitted to GES Headquarters no later than Wednesday, 31st July, 2024. Any documents received after this deadline will not be accepted.
Furthermore, it is emphasized that a staff member seeking reposting can only be released once the Director-General has approved and issued a reposting letter to the applicant.
The success of this reposting exercise relies significantly on the cooperation of all stakeholders involved. GES management extends their appreciation to all Regional/Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors for their anticipated cooperation and adherence to the outlined timelines and procedures.
