Are you a Ghana Education Service (GES) staff member looking to relocate to another region for the 2025/2026 academic year? The GES has officially announced the commencement of the Inter-Regional reposting process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process smoothly.
Key Dates to Remember
- Assurance Letters Issuance: Friday, 2nd May 2025 to Monday, 2nd June 2025
- Application Submission Deadline: Tuesday, 3rd June 2025
- Processing of Applications: Begins Tuesday, 1st July 2025
- Effective Date of Reposting: Start of the next academic year (September 2025)
Step-by-Step Process for Inter-Regional Reposting
Step 1: Secure an Assurance Letter
- Contact the Metro/Municipal/District Education Office in your preferred region to request an assurance letter.
- Ensure you meet all requirements set by the receiving region.
Step 2: Apply for Release from Your Current District
- Complete the Inter-Regional Transfer Form and attach the following documents:
- Current payslip
- Assurance letter from the receiving region
- Relevant certificates
- Bank clearance
- Submit these documents to your current Metro/Municipal/District Director, who will write a covering letter for your application.
Step 3: Regional Office Submission
- Your current District Director will forward your application to the Regional Education Office for onward submission to the Director-General for final approval.
Step 4: Final Approval and Release
- Once the Director-General approves your application, the Regional Director will issue a release letter.
- Note: You can only be released after the Director-General’s approval.
Important Notes
- Late submissions will not be accepted. Ensure all documents are submitted by 3rd June 2025.
- The reposting takes effect at the beginning of the next academic year (September 2025).
