GES announces date to release appointment letters for 2023 recruitment

Although the closing date for the 2023 Ghana Education Service teacher recruitment for Diploma in Basic Education Certificate holders has elapsed, the Service is yet to close the recruitment module on its portal.

Checks by GESHub.org on the GES online recruitment application portal indicates that new applicants can submit their forms, whiles already submitted forms by other applicants can be edited and resubmitted.

Speaking with an officer with the Service, GESHub has gathered that the portal will be closed pretty soon to allow for the issuing of appointment letters to deserving applicants.

It is anticipated that GES will release appointment letters online for checking and downloading in mid-March 2023.

Background

The Ghana Education Service On February 10, 2023, opened its recruitment application portal for the recruitment of teachers for 2023.

The Service notified the public that it is requesting application from qualified trained teachers who have Diploma in Basic Education Certificate to be considered for employment.

The Service in a document dated February 3, signed by Angela Frimpomaa Nkansah (Ms.) defined the job purpose for this recruitment as follows;

• To facilitate learning using 21st century technology
• Continuously improve learner’s ability to research using new technologies
• Teach highly motivated learners, cater for learners with different leaning abilities and help them achieve excellent academic results.
• Attend relevant and continuous professional development sessions
• Use a variety of assessment tools and tasks to accurately assess levels of learner’s competency
• Any other responsibility that would be assigned to you by your Head of Institution

Criteria for recruitment

1. Must have completed Diploma in Basic Education Programme and has no outstanding examination or referrals
2. Must have completed the mandatory National Service
3. Must have passed the National Teacher Licensure Examination
4. Must be ready to work wherever his/her service would be needed.

Qualified and passionate teachers who wish to apply for this employment opportunity were urged to apply through the official GES recruitment portal at gespromotions.gov.gh.

The Service slated February 24, 2023 as the deadline for this exercise and advised that only application forms accessed at the website gespromotions.gov.gh would be accepted.
