In recent developments, the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken note of certain challenges regarding the preparation of lesson notes, leading to some misunderstandings between school heads and teachers.
To address this issue, Regional Directors are stepping in to ensure a smoother process for all parties involved.
It has come to the attention of the GES that there is a need to clarify the acceptable formats for lesson notes. In light of this, the directive is clear: both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes, whether in printed or email form, should be accepted by all heads of schools, be they at the Basic or Second Cycle level.
This directive aims to foster a more inclusive and flexible approach to lesson notes preparation, recognizing the diverse preferences and methods employed by educators across the country.
By allowing for both handwritten and electronic formats, the GES aims to accommodate the various teaching styles and technological preferences of teachers.
Regional Directors are urged to communicate this directive effectively to District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors of Education.
This ensures that the information cascades down to the school level, fostering a cooperative and understanding environment between school heads and teachers.
