The Ghana Education Service (GES) has observed some misunderstandings between school heads and teachers regarding the preparation of lesson notes. To address this issue and promote a smoother working relationship, the Management of GES has issued a directive through the Deputy Director-General (Q&A), Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh.
Regional Directors of Education have been tasked with communicating this directive to District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors of Education. The primary objective is to ensure that all heads of schools, both at the Basic and Second Cycle levels, acknowledge and accept both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes.
Furthermore, these notes can be submitted in either printed or email formats, providing teachers with flexibility in their preferred method of documentation.
This move aims to alleviate any tensions or confusion that may have arisen between school administrators and teaching staff. By accepting both handwritten and electronically prepared lesson notes, the GES intends to accommodate various teaching styles and preferences, fostering a more collaborative and supportive environment within schools.
The emphasis on flexibility in submission formats, whether printed or emailed, reflects the GES’s commitment to embracing technological advancements and adapting to modern teaching practices. This approach not only streamlines administrative processes but also acknowledges the diverse ways in which educators may choose to organize and present their lesson plans.
