The 2025/26 Centralized Services E-Recruitment Aptitude and Trade Tests have officially been announced by the Ministry of the Interior through the Centralized Services E-Recruitment Portal (C-SERP). Overview of the 2025/26 Centralized Services Aptitude & Trade Tests

The Centralized Recruitment Aptitude Test for the 2025/26 intake will be conducted entirely online. Applicants are strongly advised to take the test using a computer system equipped with a webcam and microphone, as these are mandatory requirements for participation.

The aptitude test forms a critical stage of the recruitment process into Ghana’s security services and determines eligibility for progression to subsequent recruitment stages.

Categories of Applicants for the Aptitude Test

Applicants are grouped into three main educational categories, and the test is administered in the following order:

Category A

  • NVTI
  • JHS
  • Sportsmen/Women
  • Certificate Holders

Category B

  • HND
  • Degree
  • Master’s Degree Holders

Category C

  • WASSCE Applicants

Number of Questions Per Category

  • Category A applicants are required to answer 30 questions
  • Category B and Category C applicants are required to answer 60 questions

Trade Test Requirement for Category A Applicants

Applicants under Category A will be subjected to an additional trade test based on their selected trade vacancies. This trade test assesses practical skills relevant to the chosen trade and is compulsory for progression.

Aptitude Test Pass Mark

The official pass mark for the 2025/26 Centralized Services Aptitude Test is: 65%. Applicants who score below the pass mark risk being disqualified from the recruitment process.

The aptitude test will be conducted over a two-week period:

  • Tuesday, 10th February 2026 – Sunday, 22nd February 2026

Category-Based Test Timelines

  • NVTI/JHS/Sportsmen/Other Certificates:
    Tuesday, 10th – Friday, 13th February 2026
  • HND/Degree/Masters:
    Saturday, 14th – Tuesday, 17th February 2026
  • WASSCE Applicants:

  • The test link will be made available only through the applicant’s portal

Multiple Applications Rule Explained

Applicants who applied to multiple services (Police, Prisons, Immigration, Fire) will:

  • Take the aptitude test only once,
  • Except where the applicant applied under different educational categories across different services

Online Test Enrollment & Verification Process

Once an applicant clicks “Start Test”, an enrollment stage begins. This stage verifies:

  • Webcam calibration and liveness detection
  • Confirmation of the applicant’s identity
  • Internet strength and environmental noise levels
