In a series of adjustments aimed at accommodating all eligible candidates, the National Teaching Council (NTC) of Ghana has once again extended the registration deadline for the 2024 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 1. Initially scheduled to close on February 20, 2024, the registration period saw its first extension to February 29, 2024, in response to delays in uploading candidate data onto the NTC portal.
However, the NTC has announced another extension, pushing the registration deadline further to Thursday, March 14, 2024. This decision comes following a petition received from the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), highlighting the need for additional time for their Awarding Institutions to upload the data of qualified students from the Colleges of Education onto the NTC examination portal.
As a result of this extension, the examination date itself has been rescheduled from March 17 – March 19, 2024, to April 22 – April 24, 2024. This adjustment aims to provide ample opportunity for all prospective candidates, particularly those from Colleges of Education, to complete their registration process smoothly and participate in the examination without unnecessary hurdles.
Prospective candidates are urged to take full advantage of this extended registration period to ensure their successful enrollment for the GTLE 1 examination. Detailed instructions on the registration process can be found on the official website of the examination at exams.ntc.gov.gh.
For those requiring further assistance or with inquiries regarding the registration process, the NTC has provided contact details for direct communication. Prospective candidates can reach out to the NTC via phone at 0552828853, 0302986325, or 0302986318.
