In a recent announcement by Primetime Limited, the organizers of the National Science & Maths Quiz, an update regarding the schedule for the highly-anticipated Grand Finale of the 2023 edition has been made.
The Grand Finale, originally set for Tuesday, October 24, was initially postponed to Tuesday, October 31, at the National Theatre in Accra. However, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, Primetime Limited has made another change to the schedule.
The rescheduled date for the Grand Finale is now Monday, 30th of October, 2023, at 2 pm, still at the National Theatre.
This unexpected change in the date of the Grand Finale of the National Science & Maths Quiz has understandably raised some questions. Why the need for another rescheduling? The answer lies in the profound respect and tradition that the organizers hold for the late Ga Manye Naa Dedei Omaedru III.
The decision to adjust the date once more is not a mere logistical alteration; it’s a mark of respect and reverence. The organizers of NSMQ want to commemorate the passing of the late Ga Manye Naa Dedei Omaedru III, and they hope that her soul may forever rest in peace.
In a communique sighted by GESHub, Primetime Limited expressed its heartfelt condolences to His Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse, Niimei, Naamei, and the entire Ga State during this time of mourning. The Ga Manye was an esteemed figure, and her legacy is being honored with this adjustment to the schedule.
The National Science & Maths Quiz, often abbreviated as NSMQ, holds a special place in Ghana’s educational landscape. It is an annual competition that not only fosters intellectual growth but also promotes the study of science and mathematics among students in Senior High Schools.
