One’s eligibility for the examination is determinant of the fact that the tertiary institution the individual attended, has submitted his details to the Council.
For one to know this, he is required to visit the NTC confirmation status portal to check his eligibility for the examination before proceeding to purchase the examination voucher to begin the registration process.
This process is necessary and helpful in the sense that, the Council does not offer refund for vouchers purchase and therefore, knowing whether or not you are eligible for the examination will go a long way to prevent buying the voucher.

Simple steps to check eligibility for licensure examination
- Visit the official NTC confirmation status portal at exams.ntc.gov.gh
- Click ‘confirmation status’ (the confirmation status tab is written in red)
- Enter your previous school / college index number
- Click ‘confirm’
- Once your data has been submitted to NTC, your confirmation status should show.
NOTE: Visit your awarding institution if your data has not been sent to the National Teaching Council for confirmation so that the issue will be resolved, and you can partake in the examination.
Again, members of the general public are entreated to check their confirmation status before they purchase a voucher for next GTLE registration as money used in purchasing the voucher is non-refundable.
